And no story about MŪZ could begin without an introduction to Raquel - our strong, vivacious, and full of life fearless leader and resident tea expert.
After being diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer in 2012, Raquel knew she was in for, quite literally, the fight of her life. With a terrifying prognosis and a slim chance of recovery, she began looking for ways to support and heal her body through the vicious side-effects of chemotherapy and devastating affects of the cancer.
Enter tea.
MŪZ Tea is Different
We're proud to share that MŪZ teas are small batch blended and packed by a carbon neutral facility in Canada — air and sun dried using traditional manufacturing processes.
Unlike traditional tea bags which typically contain nano plastics, MŪZ tea bags are made from a plant-based compostable material called PLA (Polylactic Acid - produced from the starches of corn, sugar cane, and cassava). To avoid the use of plastic, glue and staples, we use ultrasonic technology to precisely cut and seal our bags.
